Some neighborhoods in South Reno woke up to thousands of dollars of property damage Saturday morning, including dented garage doors and shattered car windows.

Reno Police confirmed with 2 News Nevada on Monday that they've arrested one underage suspect on two charges related to destruction of property. RPD says the suspect is currently only connected to one police report, but detectives encourage anyone with property damage to file a report online or call the non-emergency phone number, (775) 334-2677.

RPD says detectives are also investigating whether other juveniles were involved.

One of the alleged victims living off Veterans Parkway, Samantha Hendricks, says she woke up at 4:30 in the morning to the sound of glass breaking and pounding on her garage door.

"(My boyfriend) ran outside and checked on the side of the house to see they threw a rock through the jeep window," she told 2 News Nevada.

Along with the shattered window, Hendricks has a tennis ball-sized dent on her metal garage door. She says that the incident has left her with lots of frustrating questions.

"Why were these kids out at 4:30 in the morning? Where were the parents thinking they were?" she asked.

Though neighbors are speculating that the damage may be connected to an online social media trend, police told 2 News Nevada that they don't necessarily agree. An spokesperson for the department said he believes it's bad behavior from school district students who are going unsupervised during Fall Break.
