Some members of the community aren't fortunate enough to have their own shelter, even in the face of the winter weather the area has been seeing.

However, there are some resources to get people out of the cold for free, even if only for a night.

Those include the Good Neighbor Warming Centers and Washoe County's Nevada Cares Campus.

Four rotating churches open their doors to the public for overnights with Good Neighbors.

Those include First United Methodist Church, Saint Thomas Aquinas Cathedral, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, and Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Currently, the warming center is at Trinity Episcopal and operates from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. through February 24th, before moving locations.

The Living Stones church allows folks to stay between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Good Neighbors provides overnight emergency shelter for women and families.

The Nevada Cares Campus has overflow beds and warming areas. The County says they do this so anyone cold and on the street doesn't have to be.

They welcome folks to the campus and provide beds and food, as well as long-term programs, if wanted.

Good Neighbors will end its operation on March 31, but in the meantime is asking for donations.

To coordinate that, email goodneighborsreno@gmail.com. The organization says it's always looking for volunteers, and anyone interested can email the same address.

Additional details are on 'Reno Hearts You' social media pages, including Facebook and Instagram.

The Nevada Cares Campus operates year-round.Â
