A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Saturday for the India Arts & Cultural Center.

It is located on Pioneer Drive in Horseman's Park in south Reno.

The center is partnering with the City of Reno Parks and Recreation, which is letting them lease a facility in Horseman's Park for future community events and meetings.

"I think by doing these things, at least the next generation, our kids, can get to learn the culture, their heritage, and have the taste of it," said Lali Parasa, Director and President of the India Arts & Cultural Center.

The center aims to share their culture with the community and says that everyone is welcome.

They plan to host a lot of events, including workshops, festival celebrations, language classes and more.

Following the ribbon cutting a lunch featuring authentic Indian cuisine was served.
