St. Peter Canisius Church held a groundbreaking ceremony for the $5.3 million expansion project on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
The Sun Valley church has the largest attendance of churchgoers in the region.
The church has been holding fundraising events since 2021 to make this project possible, and it received a generous donation from Tom Dolan, President of Dolan Auto Group.
The church says the space is no longer big enough to hold the amount of members who attend this parish. Many have been crowding outside the building to attend mass services.
