Options Veterinary Care Clinic

April 21 to 27 is National Volunteer Week and community members are invited to get involved by attending the First Volunteer & Foster PAW-looza, hosted by Options Veterinary Care nonprofit clinic.

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Education Room at Washoe County Regional Animal Services.

17 local rescue groups will be in attendance, listed below:

  • Boxers and Buddies
  • Chihuahua Rescue of Truckee Meadows
  • Community Cats
  • Enchanted Cat Cafe
  • Feral at Heart
  • For Pet’s Sake
  • Nevada Humane Society
  • Options Veterinary Care nonprofit clinic
  • Pawsibilities
  • Pet Network
  • Precious Paws
  • Res-Que
  • Scaredy Cats TNR
  • SPCA of Northern Nevada
  • Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation (WARF)
  • Washoe County Regional Animal Services

The event is free and open to anyone who has an interest in helping animals. 

There will also be the Big Blue Q Tahoe food truck, along with activities and giveaways. 

The first 75 people who sign up to volunteer or foster for any of the groups will receive a free churro.
