The Washoe County Board of Commissioners voted 3-1 to certify or canvass the results of the Presidential Preference Primary - as required by law.

Despite concerns raised in public comment, at the meeting the interim registrar of voters said there were no irregularities that would have impacted the results.

Andriola: "No irregularities at all?"

"Not that I'm aware of, no," answered Cari-Ann Burgess. "And I work with my staff very closely. We've been going over these results to make sure that they're correct."

As we've reported, President Biden won the Democratic primary.

And "None of These Candidates" won the Republican primary with Nikki Haley coming in second.

Burgess also mentioned that a file of recipients for the sample ballot was sent incorrectly to the printer, but noted that that was the only error that occurred.

Only 24% of eligible Republican and Democratic voters turned out for this election. This was a closed primary, in which only members of the two main parties could vote.

The official results will be sent to the Nevada Secretary of State to be certified with other county results in Nevada.
