Drone and missile explosions wounded at least nine people across Ukraine Saturday, as Kyiv and Moscow prepared for new talks next week with the United States. Negotiators from the three countries are set to meet Tuesday in Abu Dhabi to discuss ending the war. This will be the fourth round of negotiations brokered by the Trump administration. Western governments are seeking a new formula to break the impasse, though territorial and security issues remain unresolved. The missiles also closed traffic on a Kyiv bridge and caused power and water outages. Meanwhile, recovery efforts continue in Komyshuvakha after a deadly attack there killed at least 55 people.
A Russian drone has struck emergency workers on rescue missions in southern Ukraine. Authorities say the attack on Sunday hit a former school and nearby shelter in the village of Komyshuvakha, previously targeted by Russian bombs. Ukraine said that Monday's attack killed at least 55 people. No injuries were reported in Sunday's strike but rescue equipment was damaged. Around 50 people remain missing and DNA analysis is ongoing. On Saturday, a farewell ceremony was held for six officers killed in the strikes. Community members mourned the loss of loved ones and urged international action.
