NHP says distracted drivers are involved in a five car pileup involving NHP vehicles.
NHP says northbound US395 is reduced to one lane at Panther Drive for the crash.
NHP says troopers were parked with their tail lights flashing to clean up a crash when a passing Honda sedan failed to move over and struck the NHP vehicle.
Officials say the stopped Honda was then hit by another vehicle, bringing the total to 5 vehicles involved.
Impairment does not seem to be a factor in the crash. Minor injuries reported from those involved.
NHP says the importance of slowing down for emergency response is frequently ignored by drivers and puts the safety of all those involved in danger. It says this is not a courtesy, it's the law.
