Some veterans took the skies above Reno Friday morning in a vintage open cockpit plane.
The non-profit Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation helped about a dozen veterans go up in a Stearman biplane Friday morning at Atlantic Aviation. That plane was used during training during World War II.
Those who went up say it was a great to see the Biggest Little City from above.
"It was nice seeing Reno and it gave a complete picture, he flew around Reno to see it and to see the area where we're growing and developing as a city,” WWII veteran Robert Stover told us.
Ageless Aviation Dreams has given more than 1,300 flights to seniors and veterans over the last five years.
