Northern Nevada Pride Festival is returning to an in-person festival and parade on July 24.Â
"After a year inside, it is time to come OUTside, OUTloud, OUT&proud!" officials with the event announced.Â
The festival and parade benefits the local non-profit Our Center, Northern Nevada's only LGBTQ community center.Â
The 2020 parade went virtual due to COVID-19, but officials say the event was able to raise over $30,000 for Our Center.Â
The 2021 event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on July 24 in Downtown Reno with the CommUNITY Pride Parade. The festival will follow at Wingfield Park from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Â
Officials say though June is recognized nationally as LGBTQ+ Pride Month, the Northern Nevada Pride is celebrated in July as an official part of Artown.Â
