President Barack Obama will be the keynote speaker at this year's National Clean Energy Summit 8.0 happening in Las Vegas August 24th.Â
In it's 8th year, Senator Harry Reid says that the event will bring together "clean energy advocates, business leaders, students,public officials and bipartisan decision makers to discuss the advancement of the clean energy economy."
Nevada Senator Harry Reid is one of the sponsors and creators of this annual event. He announced Obama's attendance in a video, also speaking highly of the event, saying, "I believe it's led to a lot more solar energy in Nevada and in the country. This is a national event, not just a state event." He stressed that in Nevada we have a lot of of sun and and "we've produced a lot of energy with solar".Â
