The Sparks Police Department says officers are investigating a robbery with a deadly weapon that happened on Wednesday in the 200 block of Legends Bay Drive in a hotel room.
Officials say a victim reported having a confrontation with a subject in a hotel room where the subject demanded property from the victim. They said another subject entered the room and struck the victim with a blunt object in the head. Officials said the suspects took property from the victim, but a struggle ensued and the victim was able to escape.
Officials said officers were able to obtain a search warrant and collect evidence that matched the victim's description of the crime.
They said the victim had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the hospital.
