You don't have to look far to see that our economy is back on track. On the highways alone you see new trucks, new cars and a lot of new RV's. In fact some RV Dealers report business has increased by as much as 50% over the last year. And that's a great sign of a recovering economy. It shows that people have discretionary income.Â
"We've just had a record-setting sale," says Mark Magnacca with Sprad's RV on South Virginia Street. "We sold 160 units in just 10 days and it's been a long time since we're seen that kind of sales."
And he says it just shows that people finally have money.Â
"Reno is finally getting back to where we were before the economic crash. There's more cash on hand and credit has been restored and with the prices and the deals and the financing r-v ing just isn't as expensive as some think it is," Magnacca says.
The sales are fueling Sprad's to expand.
"We are adding four acres which is a direct result from the sales. We want to have the best service center there is so we needed room to add more service bays and technicians," Magnacca says.Â
And it's still pretty early in the r-ving season. It's just April.Â
