Plans for New Senior Living Memory Care Center

Prestige Care and Carson Tahoe Health release updated plans for new senior living memory care center.

Prestige Care, a senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, and Carson Tahoe Health released plans to construct a new senior living community specializing in comprehensive transitional rehabilitation and memory care with a groundbreaking Tuesday, September 26. They anticipate the care center will open for service near the end of 2017.

The care center will be two-stories and 88,000 square-feet with the capacity to treat skilled nursing and rehabilitation patients, and assisted living memory care residents. The Carson Tahoe Care Center will feature Prestige’s award-winning memory care program, Expressions, and a transitional rehabilitation center unit.

“We are eager to be moving forward with the plans for this memory and rehabilitation care community and are happy to be one step closer to enriching the lives of seniors in the Carson City area,”  said Harold Delamarter, Prestige Care founding partner and CEO. “It is a privilege to do this work and we are fortunate to have an alliance with Carson Tahoe Health who shares our same values-based commitment to quality care.”

They say the new community will serve 134 residents, with 80 beds for skilled nursing patients and 54 beds for memory care assisted living residents. Approximately 125 total employees will care for the center’s residents and families, with 45 of those staff members devoted to the memory care program.
