Reno Police say a girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car on 9th Street. A boy also suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the same crash. 

Both Traner Middle School students were transported to a nearby hospital after the 7:15 a.m. crash.  

Police say both victims believed to be about 12-years old. Police also tell us the students were in a crosswalk when the car hit them going eastbound. 

Police say everyone involved is cooperating with the immediate investigation. Police say alcohol and/or drugs and speeding are not believed to be involved in the crash. 

The road was closed around 7:15 a.m. and reopened to traffic just after 11 a.m.
