Public defenders for Wilber Ernesto Martinez-Guzman say the Washoe County grand jury lacked legal jurisdiction to indict him for two of the January killings in Douglas County.
A judge in Reno has scheduled pre-trial motions for this coming November for a Salvadoran man accused of killing four Nevadans this past January.Â
The defense for Martinez-Guzman is possibly trying to avoid the death penalty by having Guzman declared mentally incompetent.
