Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful's (KTMB) annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program began today. The program will continue through January 10.

The program has six community drop off locations and coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District to include drop-off locations in Lemmon Valley, Washoe Valley and Spanish Springs.

A $3 donation is suggested to help cover the cost of the program. All donations are matched dollar for dollar by the NV Energy Foundation.

Trees that are ornament, flocking and tinsel-free can be dropped off at one of the following places:

  • Barley Ranch Regional Park - 6000 Bartley Ranch Road, Reno
  • Reno Sports Complex - 2975 N. Virginia Street, Reno
  • Shadow Mountain Sports Complex - 3300 Sparks Boulevard, Sparks
  • Truckee Meadows Fire Station 46 - 500 Rockwell Boulevard, Spanish Springs
  • Truckee Meadows Fire Station 440 - 130 Nectar Street, Lemmon Valley
  • Truckee Meadows Fire Station 32 - 1240 East Lake Boulevard, Washoe Valley

KTMB says volunteers can sign up here.
