UPDATE: Reno Police say on Saturday, May 16, the initial person of interest in this case, Lamar Adams, was located driving a stolen vehicle in the area of Terminal Way, Reno.
They say detectives with the robbery/homicide unit interviewed Adams who confessed to shooting the victim, Lynette Lozano.
Reno Police say detectives learned that both Adams and Lozano had been residing together at the time of her murder.
No further information on a motive is available at this time.
The Reno Police Department says it is now investigating a homicide that happened near La Quinta Inn on Market Street late Wednesday night.
Upon arrival, police say they found a body, just before 10:45 p.m. Police were originally called to the scene on a shots fired call.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending confirmation by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office.
