The Reno Police Department is asking for help locating a male suspect in an open and gross lewdness case involving a 16-year-old girl.
Police say just after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, the 16-year-old victim was sitting on a bench near the Truckee River at the south side of Oxbow Park. Police say an unknown white male approached her and engaged in conversation. The man eventually sat next to the her and grabbed her breast. The suspect then propositioned the girl to perform a sex act. The victim then removed the suspect's arm and went to a nearby person to call 9-1-1. The nearby person was able to get photographs of the suspect prior to him leaving.
He is described as an adult in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, short red hair and freckles on his arms. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, black shorts and a gray t-shirt.Â
