Reno Provisions, which opened its doors in Downtown Reno earlier this month, gave sizable donations to two Northern Nevada non-profits on Monday.
Urban Roots, which helps educate people about healthy living (while operating a teaching farm) - and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada each received checks for $7,000.
Owner Mark Estee says both non-profits are important to him personally.
"Urban Roots in my mind is making farming being really cool, and reminding kids of where food comes from, and how to grow it and at making being a farmer a phenomenal career. Â And also Northern Nevada Food Bank obviously takes care of a lot of families and people in need around here, and they also educate a lot of about what our food system issues are."
All the money donated was raised at Reno Provisions' grand opening earlier this month.
