Ribbon Cutting in Sparks for Square One Apartments

The City of Sparks announced a “Ribbon Cutting - Grand Opening” for urban style apartments in downtown Sparks.

Thursday afternoon on August 18th, the City of Sparks downtown redevelopment district, Victorian Square, had a grand opening and ribbon cutting for "Square One" which are urban style apartments. These apartments are in the building that was formally the Silver Club at 1040 C Street.

“The excitement continues in downtown Sparks,” said Mayor Geno Martini.  “I am absolutely amazed on the incredibly transformation of this former hotel into an urban living center.  Bringing people to live in downtown Sparks will go a long way toward revitalizing the area, and enhancing economic development.”

The Square One Apartments has been completely converted into a six story building of 100 units consisting or studios, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments with modern energy efficient systems including heating and cooling, fire protection systems, elevators, energy efficient dual pane windows and plumbing systems.

Builders say Square One was completed in July and has already leased to new residents who have started moving into the building.

"It has been a fantastic experience working with the City Sparks to realize the first part of our shared vision for Victorian Square,” said Stephen H. Hinckley, Managing Partner/CEO of LandCap Investment Partners, LLC who in addition to Square One also has redevelopment plans for the property across the street formerly Bourbon Square Casino, now renamed The Yard. “We are grateful to the Mayor and members of the Sparks City Council for their support and vision for Victorian Square.  This project is just the beginning for LandCap.”

LandCap says it has also recently begun construction on the “Waterfront at the Marina”, 209-unit high quality luxury housing project at Sparks Marina.
