The Washoe County School District (WCSD) Board of Trustees has elected new leadership on Tuesday.
Dr. Angela Taylor, President of the WCSD Board of Trustees has released a statement that she has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees has unanimously elected Dr. Angela Taylor to serve as president for 2016. The Board also elected Trustee John Mayer as vice president and Trustee Verónica Frenkel as clerk to the board.
The Washoe County School District welcomed newly-elected and re-elected members of the Board of Trustees during its Jan. 13th meeting. Veronica Frenkel and Nick Smith took their places on the board after the swearing-in ceremony. Trustee John Mayer was sworn in for his second term. Dr. Angela Taylor was previously sworn in last month.
