Hot air balloons had to stay grounded on the final day of the Great Reno Balloon Race due to windy conditions.

USA Parkway was closed in both directions near Battery Boulevard due to a downed power line on Wednesday evening.

NV Energy is set to begin work on a new natural gas main along Peckham Lane next week as part of an infrastructure project.

NV Energy have shut off power to some customers due to the active Hawk Fire. There is no estimate for restoration. 

NV Energy is reporting multiple power outages around the region.

NV Energy says they are working with fire officials to evaluate re-energizing power for customers affected by shut offs associated with the Bug and Stallion fires.

Power has been restored to nearly 3,000 people who suffered an outage just before 8 p.m. on Friday.

Overall, Nevada saw 0.82% increase in gaming wins compared to the same time last year when the Silver State won $1.332 billion.

More than 1,200 people in northwest Reno will be affected by a planned power outage early Wednesday morning.

NV Energy says Thursday night's massive power outage across Reno was caused by a de-energized transmission line.
