Thousands in north Reno lost power Friday morning before crews restored service. 

The outage remains under investigation.

Power has been restored to all NV Energy customers affected by a PSOM outage due to high winds, according to a release from the power company.

Smoke is being seen in south Reno on Wednesday evening.

There is a current power outage that's affecting west Reno residents.

Additional outages are possible throughout northern Nevada as the high winds are expected to continue throughout the day. 

NV Energy is reporting that it has restored power to nearly all 5,000 customers affected across Washoe County.
