The fire is burning east of U.S. 395 Alternate and Eastlake Boulevard in the Pleasant Valley area. 

Crews from TMFR, Reno Fire, Storey County Fire, Carson City Fire, Nevada Division of Forestry & U.S. Forest Service responded. 

Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue crews stopped a brush fire that was burning at the dirt extension of Chimney Drive in Sun Valley.

Forward progress has stopped on the Junction 2 Fire burning near U.S. 395 and the Hallelujah Junction Wildlife Area, just across the Nevada-California border. 

Crews spent the night mopping up a brush fire east of Arkansas Drive and Deodar Way in Lemmon Valley.

Firefighters stopped forward progress on a fire burning at the base of Peavine Mountain.

The blaze was sending large plumes of smoke into the air that could be seen on Interstate 80.
