The Washoe County School District has released a statement about how they make decisions regarding snowy conditions. 

Burning operations are scheduled for multiple days between January 9^th and April 7, 2023.

NDOC estimates the consolidation plan will save the state approximately $14 million annually in overtime and operational costs.

The Washoe County coroner needs help identifying a woman who died last week. 

Sparks Fire responded to a structure fire on the 2300 block of 4th street just before 9 p.m. Friday. 

Monitors will include personnel from the Civil Rights Division and from U.S. Attorneys’ Offices.

Statewide, more than 175 crashes occurred in inclement weather between Oct. 1, 2021 and April 30, 2022, including two fatalities.

About 20 personnel responded to the scene.

The hikers, aged 87 and 70, were treated on scene and declined medical transport to the hospital.

The shooting happened on July 28th near Pyramid Way and north McCarran Blvd.
