The inaugural Tahoe Literary Festival is set to debut on October 11 and 12 at multiple different venues in Tahoe City.
High school students from six Nevada counties competed in the "Poetry Out Loud" competition state finals on Saturday.
The students choose which poems they will perform onstage, but the competition is about much more than the poetry itself.
