Today a roundtable was held at the Sparks Community Center by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to talk about access to food and nutrition.

Firefighters are planning some pile burning on Wednesday, about two miles north of the community of Delleker in California. 

USDA is making funding available under the Rural Business Development Grant program.

This project will improve the quality of life by addressing the health and safety issues for the residents while preserving the affordable housing stock.

The investment is included in a national USDA announcement totaling $110 million in grants awarded to improve rural health care for people nationwide.

The current strain of the virus appears to pose a low risk for human infection. 

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack was in Reno Thursday for the announcement.
