The Nevada Firearms Coalition says voting for the Drive the Second Amendment Forward license plates contest will close at midnight this Sunday, January 17th. The group says its just dollars away from their original goal, and have succeeded in raising the funds to bring a design forth for the DMV’s approval.

“We will announce the results after the close of the competition next week,” said Don Turner, President of Nevada Firearms Coalition. “It’s still anyone’s game until Sunday, so make sure your voice is heard with your vote!”

The group has narrowed the vote down to the top two designs, both of which have received many votes throughout the contest.

Interested voters can go to www.nvfac.org/LicensePlates to donate to one of the designs.

Each dollar donated toward a plate counts as one vote for that plate. The Coalition says the process to create a license plate with the Nevada DMV requires a $5,000 grant.
