The final totals are in from the Secure Your ID Day event on Saturday.
In all, 415 community members drove through the Atlantis parking lot to drop off their boxes of paperwork for shredding.
American Document Destruction tells us they shred 24,000 pounds (12 tons) of documents. The event was free for the public.
At the event people could also drop off food for the Northern Nevada Food Bank. They collected 2,163 pounds of food that day, plus $1,867 in cash donations. That equals 8.197 meals for people in need in our community.
