UPDATE: Sierra Front says the Hill Fire that burned near Smith Valley on Friday afternoon was a little over 17 acres.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) says multiple agencies responded to a fire on Wellington Hill on Friday afternoon.
They said Smith Valley Fire Protection District, Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center responded as well.
LCSO says lightning struck Wellington Hill and sparked the fire.Â
Sierra Front says the fire is being called the Hill Fire and has burned five acres.
Sierra Front says crews are in mop up stage now.
