After a 15-strikeout performance against Spanish Springs in the opening round of the Northern 5A baseball playoffs, McQueen senior pitcher Robby Snelling set the new single-season record for strikeouts among the large classification of schools in Nevada.
Snelling has 145 strikeouts in his 62.1 innings pitched this season. He passes the mark of 141 strikeouts set by former Douglas Tiger and San Francisco Giant Shawn Estes set back in 1991.
