A West Virginia transgender girl who competes on her high school girls' track team says she's focused on having fun with her friends. Becky Pepper-Jackson isn't dwelling on her case that was heard before the U.S. Supreme Court. In January, the court’s conservative majority signaled it would rule that state bans on transgender athletes in girls' and women's sports don’t violate either the Constitution or the federal law known as Title IX. Such a ruling would bring an end to Pepper-Jackson's high school sports career. She finished third in the state meet a year ago in the discus as a freshman. The justices are expected to rule by early summer.
