Holiday discounts might be over, but the New Year has brought with it some great deals of its own at local stores.
Some businesses say January is just as good a time as any to get discounts when doing some shopping.
Some stores are discounting their 2015 products to get ready for their new inventory in 2016, and other stores are discounting returns that are made.
Giovani Marin is a salesman at Best Buy, and he says when an item is returned, a lot of times it will be put on sale.
“For example computers, they're in perfect condition so that means that you can come in and we can give you a pretty good deal on it, so you don't have to pay the whole price on it," says Marin.
The most up to date technology in 2016 also brings down the prices on items from last year, and Chris Siegrist from RCWilley says the television transition from old to new, will be taking place very soon.
"Deals coming up on discontinued product that we're going to be looking to move through, bringing new models in,” says Siegrist.
Siegrist says people at this time of the year are often coming in to spend the money they were gifted for the holidays, or they're shopping for that item they didn't receive.
