The Sparks Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Star Market on Merchant Street Monday night.
Officers say they responded to the call around 10:20 p.m. They say two suspects wearing masks had entered the convenience store and demanded money from the clerk and a customer at gunpoint.
The two suspects then left the scene with an undetermined amount of money. Police say the suspects are believed to be a male and a female.
The male suspect is described as a black or Hispanic man, 5' 9" tall, has a large build, with brown eyes. He and was wearing black pants and a black and white South Pole shirt. The female suspect is described as a black woman, 5'6" tall, 20-30 years old, medium build with black hair. She was wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants.
