Things 2 Do This Weekend!

This weekend is all about art, fashion and...fighting crime? We have a very wide range of events for everyone’s taste in this week’s Things 2 Do!

Let’s start out with an event for the whole family.... and an opportunity to teach kids how to give back. Scheels is partnering with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada for an all-ages volunteer event! You can come out to help feed thousands with just a couple hours of your time at the distribution center this Saturday, and kids can take a break playing some awesome carnival games donated by Circus Circus! Tickets are selling out fast. For more information, you can click here.

Truck lovers, this one is for you! Join JB Productions for its premier this weekend. They'll have a rock garden for crawling, a free concert from the legendary Trainwrecks, food trucks, free face painting and bounce houses for the kiddos! All that and a flag run to support homeless veterans. That's at 4 Wheel Parts in Sparks Saturday from 10am to 3. For more information, you can click here.

Grab your capes, don your masks and leave the Batmobile at home, because the city needs you...for this year’s Superhero Crawl! With over 15 different parties, 50 different drink specials and no Kryptonite! That's Saturday night in downtown Reno. For more information, you can click here.

A little on the silly side, a splash of good time with food and drink, and a whole lot of fun, it's time for this year’s Pops on the River! This is a big one too, the Reno Phil is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is putting on one "far out" show. This year’s theme is a night at Woodstock, so don't forget the tie dye and tune in this Saturday at Wingfield Park! 2 News is a proud presenter.... And our very own Landon Miller and Kristen Remington will be emceeing. For more information, you can click here.

And let’s finish it off in style! Northern Nevada's largest runway show, the Reno Fashion Show is back for its 8th year! Featuring local designers as well as from project runway, it’s sure to turns heads on the catwalk! That's Saturday starting at 7 in the Harrah's convention center.
