A man was arrested in Las Vegas on Thursday on charges related to supplying drugs to prisons in Nevada and California, as well as second-degree murder.

30-year-old Hoza Del Collins was a former Nevada Department of Corrections offender, according to a release by the NDOC.

When searching his home, officers found toxic substances believed to be used in the creation of synthetic drugs, which are being supplied to Nevada and California prisons.

Collins was arrested on suspicion of felony second-degree murder for supplying substances causing death, felony selling or transporting schedule 3, 4, or 5 controlled substances, and felony furnishing controlled substances to a state prisoner.

The arrest comes after a series of homicides in the Nevada prisons, where drugs are believed to have played a role in some of the killings.

Collins was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
