A New Jersey man has been arrested and faces multiple charges for allegedly coercing a Carson City juvenile into producing child sexual abuse materials.

In March of last year, the Carson City Sheriff's Office began an investigation and identified a 19-year-old man from Woodridge, New Jersey as the suspect, according to a release from the CCSO.

On Wednesday, CCSO detectives went to New Jersey and, with the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Cyber Crimes Unit, and the Bergen County Regional SWAT team, executed a search warrant at the suspect's home.

Detectives developed probable cause, an arrest warrant was issued, and an arrest was made.

The suspect was booked into the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center on charges including use of a minor in producing pornography and child abuse as a result of exploitation. Both charges are class A felonies.

The suspect is being held without bail.

Law enforcement is not legally permitted to release the name of the suspect or their photo, since they pertain to juvenile justice information, according to the CCSO release.
