Reno Police say they arrested a man on a battery charge in connection with a stabbing on west Golden Valley Road on Sunday night.Â
Police say when they arrived on scene after 8 p.m., they found a man with stab wounds.Â
The investigation revealed that the suspect, 33-year-old James Sevier, broke into the victim's bedroom and then hit the victim, who was asleep.Â
When the victim woke up, police say that person got a knife and stabbed Sevier in self-defense.Â
Sevier was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was later booked into the Washoe County Jail on a simple battery charge.Â
