Two Lyon County School District employees working at Silverland Middle School have been placed on administrative leave after being arrested and facing criminal charges.
The incidents leading to the arrests and charges happened off campus, according to a release from the Lyon County School District.
The district is following all required administrative and personnel procedures and will comply with reporting requirements involving state licensing authorities.
The nature of the charges was not revealed by the district, and calls to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office have not yet been returned.
The district says they are fully cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office.
“The safety of our students remains LCSD’s highest priority, and we will continue taking all appropriate steps to protect the students entrusted to our care,” said the district in its release.
The district will not be releasing any more details at this time.
