UPDATE: The Reno Police Department says they have identified the victim of a homicide that happened near Wedekind Road on Sunday.

They said 30-year-old James Marion of Fairfield, California was killed that night.

Reno Police say the investigation is ongoing.


Secret Witness is offering a reward of $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect in connection with a homicide that happened in the 2300 block of Wedekind Road.

Late Sunday evening around 10:50 p.m. Reno Police responded to two report of shots fired at an apartment complex.

When officials arrived on scene they found a man deceased in the parking lot. He is described as a black adult male.

Officials say his death appears to be a homicide. 

The identity of the victim is being withheld. 

Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit and the Regional Gang Unit are handling the investigation.

One resident in the area says she is fed up with the amount of crime near her home.

"I want to consider leaving now and take my family to live somewhere else because if they're shooting here, we don't feel safe," says Felisitas Ramirez.
