Small business owners and non-profit organizations can soon apply for Nevada's Commercial Rental Assistance Program.
The grant program is using $20 million of coronavirus relief funds to help businesses and non-profits that have experienced financial hardships during the pandemic.Â
Landlords whose tenants participate in the GRAG program will receive the payments directly, and they have to agree not to evict anyone up to 90 days following the payment.Â
To be eligible for the program, potential candidates must meet the following criteria:Â
- Be licensed for a non-profit business or a non-profit organization with Nevada as its principal place of business
- Have 50 or fewer full-time employees
- Have been in operation for at least six months prior to Mar. 1, 2020Â
- Demonstrate at least 30% loss or gross monthly revenue after Mar. 1, 2020 as a direct result of COVID-19
- Have a physical commercial location with a current, active lease on commercial property in Nevada
- Must not have previously received more than $5,000 in funds from the Paycheck Protection program of other COVID-19 rental assistance programsÂ
- Must not have any outstanding tax liensÂ
