Officials say on Thursday morning, Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto announced her endorsement of Joe Biden for president.
She released this statement below:
“Joe Biden is the leader our country needs right now. His experience leading through moments of crisis and his trademark compassion and empathy are the leadership qualities that are needed as the American people face an unprecedented public health and economic crisis.
I’m lucky to call Joe a personal friend, and a friend to Nevada. Joe was fundamental in helping Nevada recover following the Great Recession, expanding access to health care and addressing the housing crisis, and has been a fighter against Yucca Mountain.
This moment requires our leaders to rise to the occasion and fight for all of us. Joe is a proven fighter who will work tirelessly for the American people, especially in challenging times like this.”
