The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Education Department is holding an After-Thanksgiving Native American Arts and Crafts Fair to raise money for its Eagle Wings Pageant Dance Group.
The group has performed at senior citizen assisted living homes, in Washoe County classrooms and more area events in the past.
The fair will include over 40 vendors selling beadwork, artwork and more.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow and admission is free. The Eagle Wings group will perform at noon.
There will also be a canned food drive for the Tribe's food pantry.
The group performs to songs and dances that are indigenous to Great Basin tribes, from the Paiute, Shoshone and Washoe tribes.
The group believes the dancing keeps them connected with their ancestors and their traditional way of life.
