The Nevada Day Parade will look a little different this year.
The Nevada Day Committee says the parade down Main Street Carson City cannot take place like in years past because of COVID-19.
However, they are working with the Brewery Arts Center and other nonprofits to do mini parades and events throughout the community.
They still plan to do the Single Jack Rock Drilling Contest, Hot Air Balloon Launch, and Beard Contest over Nevada Day weekend.
Also, after a decade, the Nevada Day Golf Tournament will return. It will be at the Silver Oak Golf Course on Saturday October 24th. Tee Time is at 9:00 a.m. and will include breakfast, lunch, giveaways and raffle prizes. There are more details to come.
