The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a motorcyclist who has fled from deputies who attempted to pull them over on multiple occasions.
In two separate incidents, deputies tried to stop a white motorcycle for reckless driving and operating without vehicle registration.
On both occasions, the driver reacted by taunting law enforcement, rapidly accelerating away from deputies, doing wheelies, turning backward to make obscene gestures, and waving their hands to provoke a pursuit, according to a release from the CCSO.
The suspect would then accelerate to extreme and dangerous speeds while weaving in and out of traffic.
In both instances, deputies did not pursue to avoid a high-speed chase and protect public safety, as a chase would have endangered other drivers.
Deputies are trying to identify the suspect for eluding, reckless driving, and no vehicle registration.
