**Driver's Edge sets aside spots for KTVN/2 News viewers after Reno event fills**
Registration for Driver's Edge's upcoming Reno event is currently full, but some spots are still available exclusively for KTVN/2 News Nevada viewers.
The free advanced driver training program will be held July 23 through 26 at the Regional Public Safety Training Center. Driver's Edge said a number of spaces have been set aside specifically for KTVN/2 News Nevada viewers.
Families interested in attending can register on the waiting list and reference KTVN/2 News Nevada. Driver's Edge said it will then reach out to help accommodate those families.
The program offers hands-on training designed to help young drivers build safer driving skills. Sessions will be offered at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Participants may choose only one session on one day.
Drivers must be 21 or younger and have a valid driver's license or learner's permit.
If families are unable to attend the July event, Driver's Edge will return to Reno September 12 through 13 for another training opportunity.
Driver's Edge is also asking people to consider making a donation to help support future events. The organization said it is a small 501(c)(3) public charity that relies on donations to continue offering its programs. Donations are fully tax-deductible, according to Driver's Edge.
People interested in joining the waitlist, learning more about Driver's Edge or making a donation can visit the organization's website.
