The Nevada Department of Transportation is getting the word out about some lane reductions and ramp closures starting next week, connected to two projects in Reno.

I-580 closures

Overnight lane reductions and ramp closures will take place on I-580 from April 13th through April 15th for routine bridge inspections.

Monday, April 13, 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

  • Southbound I-580 lanes will be reduced to one lane between Mill Street and Plumb Lane.

  • The Plumb Lane on-ramp to southbound I-580 will periodically be closed with a nearby detour.

Tuesday, April 14, 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

  • Northbound I-580 lanes will be reduced to a minimum of one lane between Moana and Plumb Lane.

  • Northbound interstate ramps will remain open.

Wednesday, April 15, 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

  • Southbound I-580 lanes will be reduced to one lane between the spaghetti bowl and Mill Street.

  • The eastbound I-80 ramp to southbound I-580 will be closed with a nearby detour.

I-80/McCarran Boulevard closures

Extended overnight ramp closure hours will be in place on the McCarran Boulevard ramp to Interstate 80 in west Reno, April 12th through April 17th, as part of a continuing project to repave and widen the interstate.

McCarran Boulevard On-ramp to Eastbound I-80.

  • Ramp will be closed 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

McCarran Boulevard Off-ramp from Westbound I-80.

  • Ramp will be closed for extended overnight hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
