Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on Sun Valley Blvd. outside Hobey's Casino early Monday morning.

The incident happened just before 3:15 a.m. near 2nd Avenue. 

NHP says 72-William Morrow of Sun Valley was crossing Sun Valley Blvd. when he was hit by a gold GMC Sierra pickup heading south. 

He died on scene. 

NHP says 56-year-old Roldolfo Lopez-Lopez is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash, and failing to render at the scene of a crash. 

NHP originally reported the incident as a hit-and-run crash, but they say the car involved returned to the scene just before 4:30 a.m.
