The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1 billion for the Christmas Eve lottery draw after no players matched all six numbers last Friday.
One lucky lottery player may get the biggest present of their life this Christmas Eve. According to the lottery, the prize for Tuesday night's drawing has grown to an estimated $1 billion, or $448.800 million for the cash option.
Winning numbers will be announced in the drawing at 11 p.m. ET tonight.
Mega Millions drawings are held twice a week at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the numbers selected at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.
Winning numbers can always be found within minutes following the draw on www.calottery.com.
MEGA Millions is a multi-state draw game available through 47 lotteries nationwide and known for its big jackpots. Each play costs $2. Mega Millions can be played in 45 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The five states that don't participate in the lottery games are Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.
