Nevada National Guard recruitment jumped this year - marking the third-consecutive year surpassing federally-designated annual goals.

In total, 388 soldiers enlisted in the Nevada Army National Guard in fiscal year 2025 (Oct. 1, 2024 – Sept. 30, 2025). That  number exceeded the federally designated goal of 363 new recruits (106.8%).

The Nevada Air National Guard saw an even larger year-over-year percentage surge with 165 incoming Airmen out of a goal of 130 (126%), up 36 recruits from the previous year.

NEVADA ARMY GUARD 

  • 2025: 388 recruits; goal of 363 (106.8%)
  • 2024: 352 recruits; 345 (102%)
  • 2023: 360 recruits; 359 (100.3%)

NEVADA AIR GUARD

  • 2025: 165 recruits; goal of 130 (126.9%)
  • 2024: 129 recruits; 120 (107.5%)
  • 2023: 101 recruits; 120 (84.2%)

In total, the Nevada Army National Guard includes 3,318 uniformed soldiers. The Nevada Air National Guard includes 1,158 Airmen. The vast majority work one weekend each month and two weeks of annual training each year.
